Are You Ready for a Changing Climate?
The National Symposium for Outdoor Risk and Readiness on 9 July is your opportunity to deepen your understanding of managing outdoor risks in an era of increasingly volatile weather and environmental conditions. Designed to boost your preparedness, the Symposium offers professional development, sector insights, and valuable networking opportunities.
This flagship event marks the culmination of three years of work by NatCORR. It brings together leaders from the outdoor and disaster resilience sectors to collaborate, share knowledge, and collectively address key gaps and priorities. Delivered in partnership with the Outdoors NSW & ACT Summit, this is the must-attend professional development event for the outdoor sector in 2025.
We’re also thrilled with the positive response to the April Weather Ready professional development workshops. The high level of meteorological expertise from the Bureau of Meteorology and Anthony Cornelius of Weatherwatch was widely appreciated. For many, it served as a timely reminder of the importance of staying current in weather interpretation and decision-making for outdoor safety.
One challenge that participants highlighted was the sheer breadth of content and the strong desire for more hands-on practice using different weather tools and apps. In response, we’re planning to deliver more of these interactive workshops in 2026—stay tuned!
Thanks for your ongoing support and engagement. We look forward to seeing you at the Symposium in July!
