As extreme weather continues to reshape the outdoors, collaboration, research and knowledge sharing have never been more important.
In June, Dr Loren Miller launched our 2026 conference season at the International Outdoor Education Research Conference in Norway, presenting the NatCORR model as a collaborative approach to building resilience across the outdoor sector in response to increasingly volatile weather events. Engaging with the international community strengthens our own approach to climate adaptation while showcasing Australia’s leadership in outdoor risk management.
We are also proud to announce the international release of ORI Heat. As record-breaking heatwaves continue across Europe and North America, outdoor organisations in the Northern Hemisphere can now access this to support more informed, data-driven decision-making.
Our 2026 Outdoor Sector Survey is now open, and we’d love your input. Your feedback will help shape NatCORR’s future priorities, professional development program and resources. Please complete the survey and share it with your networks.
The remainder of 2026 will be our busiest conference season yet, with NatCORR attending nine conferences and presenting at eight events across the outdoor and disaster management sectors. Keep reading for where you can connect in person.
